Mr. Roch Lambert, Vice President and General Manager, Sport Boats,
made the announcement to Quebec Bombardier dealers gathered at
Mont Sainte-Anne near Quebec City to attend Bombardier
Recreational Products' first ever Canadian Marine Technology Conference.
"As we are the reference for technological innovation, we're

in collaboration with Mercury and are now exclusive to Sea-Doo
models of 16 feet and more. Rotax(R) engines, recognized for
their reliability and efficiency, will continue to equip
14-footers and other Sea-Doo models.
"Over the years, we have repeatedly proved with our Sea-Doo models
that this technology is very safe and that it offers easy handling
and precision." Mr. Lambert went on to add that "our experience
as largest boat manufacturer combined with that of Mercury, the
world's leading manufacturer of boat engines, will allow us to
open up new horizons and bring Sea-Doo sport boats and jet
propulsion technology to the forefront of the industry."

For the Year 2000, Bombardier Announces a Technological
Breakthrough for its Watercraft

SEPTEMBER 22, 1999
SAINTE-ANNE-DE-BEAUPRE, QUEBEC--With the new millennium just
around the corner, Bombardier Recreational Products top management
today unveiled the new line of Sea-Doo(R) personal watercraft.
These fun to drive, safe and even cleaner models are everything
water sports enthusiasts have hoped for, and more!
Indeed, users of Sea-Doo PWCs will now be able to benefit from the
spectacular improvements brought about by the unmatched Orbital
direct fuel injection system that is now installed on the 2000 RX
and GTX models.
"Thanks to this exclusive direct injection technology," explained
Mr. Jose Boisjoli, President, Snowmobiles and Watercraft, "Sea-Doo
2000 watercraft offer remarkable quality, smooth and powerful
acceleration, as well as a reduction in emissions of up to 75
percent(1) and fuel economy of up to 30 percent during a typical
day of use!(2) A quieter ride is also offered this year thanks to
the D-Sea-Bel(TM) sound attenuation system. All these
improvements have been made without sacrificing the pleasure, easy
handling and safety that have made our PWCs the industry standard."
Direct injection improves fuel combustion by keeping unburned fuel
in the exhaust system. The result is greater fuel efficiency and
a significant reduction in emissions. In short, it's cleaner and
cheaper to operate. Chokeless start and precise throttle control
are additional advantages of this revolutionary new technology.
Mr. Boisjoli took this opportunity to specify that the
D-Sea-Bel(TM) sound reduction system that had been installed since
1998 on GTX models was now standard equipment on ALL Sea-Doo
personal watercraft.
"With Orbital technology, the GTX(i) DI and RX DI watercraft have
clearly demonstrated in a most practical way the technological
superiority of Bombardier Recreational Products," added Mr.
Boisjoli. "We are determined to work proactively in order to
ensure that our products not only meet environmental standards but
that they go beyond them."

Bombardier Recreational Products Presents its New
Sea-Doo(R) 2000 Watercraft Models

SEPTEMBER 22, 1999
SAINTE-ANNE-DE-BEAUPRE, QUEBEC--Bombardier Recreational Products
revealed today its new line of Sea-Doo(R) watercraft for the year
2000. Presiding over the unveiling Mr. Jose Boisjoli, President,
Snowmobiles and Watercraft said: "These new models are extending a
10-year tradition that has given watercraft users state-of-the-art
innovations and exceptional quality control. We believe our new
models will surpass all expectations and that they will deliver
even more fun on the water!"
To mark the beginning of the new millennium, the Sea-Doo team has
created the most innovative and amazing watercraft ever offered on
the market, the 2000 RX(MC)DI. The RX deep hull recesses, using
active handling geometry, work with the water to give you a smooth
ride and better performance. It's the first watercraft along with
the GTX(+) DI model to come equipped with our exclusive Orbital
Direct Injection, technology that offers a reduction in emissions
of up to 75 percent(1) and fuel economy of up to 30 percent during
a typical day of use!(2) The 2000 RX DI has been designed with
the most demanding user in mind; it's definitely a watercraft for
the 21st century. In addition to the two models equipped with Orbital Direct
Injection, this year brings another plus for the new Sea-Doo
models. All models now come with the D-Sea-Bel(TM) sound
reduction system, which means 50 percent less noise compared to
traditional watercraft. All 2000 Sea-Doo models also come with a
digitally encoded theft-deterrent system D.E.S.S.(TM).
Mr. Boisjoli added: "We're always careful to listen to what
consumers have to say and are always on the lookout for new ways
to respond to their needs. And we've developed innovative
technology so that our products can meet and even surpass present
and future environmental standards." /T/Sea-Doo 2000 Watercraft Models
