And sometimes "LINOs"....I have encountered people who claimed to be libertarian who were knee- jerk environmentalists, for example, or who were intent upon defending the right of the South to secede and dismissing slavery as a cause of secession, as if it were hardly worth mentioning.....I knew a fellow who was sure that he was conservative, who turned out to be a weave-down-the-middle-of-the-road-like-a-drunk moderate. He was a school teacher, and the consensus of his colleagues ran so far left that his occasional demurals seemed risque!
