Think it's over, Brian? That the current share prices are somehow the final score card in this game? I think it's maybe only starting. The globalization of mobile telephony is only beginning to have an impact on manufacturers and operators.

Up until now, regional operators and regional manufacturers have been living a sheltered existence. This is changing faster than anyone thought it would. There are new mergers or alignemnets nearly every week. A couple of months ago VSTR, OMPT and AERL were separate, regional companies largely written off by investors. Now they are a single, nationwide operator with fresh funding and expertise flowing in from Hutchison and Sonera. Merging ATT - BT mobile operations reach over 40 million subs *now*.

Japan and Korea being outside the global GSM coverage will have very little impact on international roaming. They aren't on anybody's list of top travel destinations.
