TigerPaw, yes, I do respect your right not to believe, as well as others.

I find it hard to avoid stereotypes when a whole group has to follow the same book lock/step with no variation.

My perspective of this statement is very different than yours. If I looked at it that way, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with it either. but I do respect your right to believe or not believe what ever you want.

interpretation of the bible is varied, beliefs and opinions throughout the church vary widely, unfortunately this is the cause of much infighting, but it cannot be said that all Christians have the same set of beliefs or even the same morals.
