Qualcomm Invests> September 20, 1999 Qualcomm,Rogers Commun,Others Invest Total $29M In Aeris SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Aeris Communications Inc. completed a $29 million round of private equity financing, which included investments from Rogers Communications Inc. (RG), Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM), Capital Communications and a unit of Orbcomm Global. In a press release Monday, privately-held Aeris said it will begin doing business as Aeris.net, effective immediately, as part of the financing.
