My whole point is, if we want to take an amoral view of abortion, why should we take any different perspective on murder? Or the death penalty? Or suicide? Or war? And yet many liberals make strong distinctions between them when they all ultimately end in the discontinuation of life, no matter how large or small a scale.

It is "distinct organisms," then, and not persons, you would require be carried in their abdomens by female Americans until they become persons? Just how "harshly" would you treat women who chose to have first trimester abortions of what you call "organisms"? This is an important question, to me. And would these women be allowed to have them in safe, legal clinics, by you? Or would they have to fly to Europe, or, if they are poor, go the back-alley route? That is quite harsh treatment already, any additional punishment you mete out to them notwithstanding.
