I wasn't aware that anyone is judged by the stocks they miss... I thought your performance is based on what you hit. Should we all admit we are losers, since most of us missed AMZN in 1997?

If competence is really evaluated on a performance of a single year - how would you evaluate the competence of people who recommended QCOM for the year 1998? Besides; I thought that 1999 will still last for a few months. Are you convinced that VSTR, OMPT and AERL are not the big story of 1999? The charts look kind of interesting to me.

If you think that QCOM decision of timing the handset announcement is a result of strategic vision you are in the fringe. The company was pushed into that announcement by plummeting share price. They had no choice.
