agreed on all points. let me add that research shows click-through rates are falling...and banner ad pricing with them. furthermore, most companies dependent on ad revenues get these from the e-commerce sector which is struggling with non-existent margins. the internet may be great for the consumer, alas it's not so easy to make money from it - unless you're selling stocks of course.
