Bryan, this doesn't come under the heading of bug or anything. But allow me to describe a feature I think would be a wonderful addition to SI, provided those wizards of HTML could design it.

Let's say you're on a thread looking at a post. Or you're in your portfolio looking at your stocks. Now visualize those little links that say "news".

It would be great if a little-tiny number appeared next to the "news" link indicating whether there was a *new* news item that you had not read or none at all.

I envision it working very similar to the inbox feature. You don't have to check whether you have a message and how many, because a little red number appears next to it.

I can't tell you how many times I have clicked one of my stocks news links and found out there is nothing new!

I know I went on-and-on, but I really wanted to make clear what I was trying to describe. I've mentioned it in the past via email and such, but never received a response. I believe adding this feature would be a real "value added improvement" to SI.

Best, Mike
