To once again clarify the situation, several individuals utilize the EAL persona. It would be unwise in the extreme to attribute all related commentary to me. It was precisely this multiplicity that gave me the comfort to post under a pseudonym when there was something of particular importance that needed to be said.

In the long run, I did Gregg a favor by letting him know
that his identity with EAL, was too widely know for any
reasonable person to believe that it was secret.

if this was truly your motivation, you could've done so via PM. If it was really him, he would thanked you. If not, he would've denied it. Either way, no harm done.

but instead, by doing it so publicly, look at the result. No matter what reason you may have, be it justified or not, look at the result.
