Do you remember the show (the original) "Kids say the dardnest things"? Was it Art Linkletter? Can't recall (senior moment here!) I used to love it. I can wait a bit before being ready to trade grandchild stories -- after all the girls are only 18 -- but I know that consolation is there in the future. Sometimes I think turtles have the right idea. Lay the eggs and then swim out to the ocean again. They miss a lot of pain that way. But of course they miss a lot of joy, too. Heck, nobody ever promised me a rose garden, did they?
