Retail wanderings...went to the local radio shack and checked out what is available on handsets. They are very low on the Q's and didn't have any thin phones. The guy there said he wouldn't buy a Q phone because it is to expensive and that there are competing models that have more features...especially when you consider the service provider. No Q dual mode models either.

He said Sprint, since it only recently got into the wireless thing compared to Airtouch, doesn't have the service area like Airtouch. He recommended an Airtouch contract and a phone from Samsung.

I'm buying a new wireless phone for my wife in November for her birthday. Any recs out there? She doesn't like the fact her old Q phone cuts out in Temecula (with Sprint)...I don't either. I'm wondering if Airtouch as a service provider is any better.

I think she would like to do the email thing too.

So what say you CDMA experts. Careful though...if she doesn't like her B-day present, I'm coming after you! :)
