Earthquake stuff from CNN: cnn.com
Magnitude 7.3-7.6 possibly, happened about 1:30 AM their time, which would more or less correspond to 1:30 EST. (Beijing is exactly 12 hours different, dunno if Taiwan is + or - from that.)

FWIW, 72 1/2 has been significant low like three times in the past two weeks now.

I'm assuming there's going to be a big fake spike up first thing tomorrow in order to take advantage of the quake news being blabbed up overnight (especially into certain ears at CNBC), so I'm just going to sit and watch the first half hour or so tomorrow. I'm looking for some evidence one way or another that the close is near the extreme end of our recently-formed whipsaw range, and that a mid-morning short will be easier and safer than trying to go long at the open.
