INFY: Volume is to stocks what a nasty curveball is to a hitter; often very confusing, often the reason for not pulling the trigger or swinging the bat. I've noticed a couple of things: After a long decline, a surge in volume often indicates a temporary (maybe final) low. Example; NITE the past few days. But it's often different with a stock approaching or going through an old high. Sure, you want to see expanding volume, but I've seen an awful lot of stocks go thru on moderate volume and then show a volume surge only after the stock has run well beyond the breakout. This is an area of T/A (volume) that needs more work. Anyone have any thoughts? (Lee)
