Peter, thanks for response. I think I feel better. I think.

Obviously I did not read or research this announcement very well. It sure seems that this whole directory, caching, e-commerce Net software infrastructure world is attracting lots of Novell competitors quickly. Interesting to me how the Alliance announcement stresses the overall infrastructure products they have which gives one the impression they have a complete suite of Net solutions.

They sign up Cutler Hammer and Adelphia and the Cutler customer is saying that their directory stuff is basis for their e-commerce world. The announcement also mentions Boeing, Bell Atlantic and AIG like they are already big customers....support 50 million users and 5,000 queries per second.

Novell needs to advertise their NDS wins more like this and talk up their "integrated" Net package of infrastructure solutions.

BTW, I don't think Win2000 should worry about Novell and NDS. They need to get the Alliances, Inktomis and ......

Regards,

Don
