To Thread - Earthquake Rocks Taiwan Chip Makers
(09/20/99, 6:40 p.m. ET)
(http://www.techweb.com/wire/finance/story/INV19990920S0005)

From the article:

"...A massive earthquake rocked Taiwan early Tuesday, though preliminary estimates from the island's chip makers are revealing more problems associated with lack of power than with serious damage to brick-and-mortar facilities or manufacturing lines..."

==================================================================

It appears that there is little to no damage, just power outage. Work in process may be the only liability if at all.

Off topic/ kinda

My limited knowledge tells me that Al is compatible with Si; Ag, Cu may have problems, Ag would be compatible with Ga-As? Au is relatively inert and may have its own problems with that regard. Do you have any ideas? I just want to find more uses for Ag and Au as consumables to increase price of the commodities (personal reasons etc.)

Regards

Thanks for the charts Tony. Looks like I shouldn't gripe too much in this market. The funny thing about LSI is that it's come so far yet still seems undervaled compared to the rich prices still given NSM, ALTR, VTSS, etc. I guess she has more to prove.
