Oh, spare me. Do you think they hadn't heard of Judaism, Islam, or Buddhism at the time? The reason they used the phrase "In God We Trust" was because it was non-specific when it came to naming a specific religion. If they wanted it to be Christian, why didn't they use the word Christ in there?

Take a college religion course (NOT a college Christianity course, especially at a Bible school), then come back and tell me about what religions were "under consideration."
