>>>Well, why don't you start? Tell us about your life experiences and what you have found to be the meaning.<<<

JXM, I would love to tell you if I had that "this is what life is all about" experience.

I'll try to recollect some of the vivid memories that seems to be meaningful in life.

I cried like hell, this place was cold, I knew instinctively that the life is filled with more sorrows than happiness.- the day I was born.<g>

My cousin killed himself when he was sixteen. He drank antifreezer.
Not long ago, my good friend's five year old daughter died from a car accident. Unlike grandparent's funeral, these two funeral made me think deeply about the meaning of life. My friend is a good man, he is the one who can live without the law, he is almost a saint. Why would something like this happen to a good man? It seems death make you think more about life than new birth.

Now the lighter side of some meaningful moment in my life:

When I was 12, we went to Disneyland and I thought heaven must be some place like this. Wish I didn't visit again 10 years later... most of those good memories vanished

Yosemite was another place I felt the heavenly feeling. It was right after rain, some of the clouds were still hanging in the mountain. Right after that long dark tunnel,.... suddenly mountain appears in between the clouds and sun light.... what a breathtaking sight.
I said to myself "it's good to be alive."

I agree, helping others seems important & meaningful part of one's life
I'll share one of my rare good deeds.
A young man, seems to be a homeless, was lying in the middle of very busy street. He was groaning and holding his stomach. I stayed in the street corner and watched him for over 20 minutes. Probably at least 500 people passed him by but no one stopped help him. Reluctantly I went over to ask him if I could help any. But he wasn't able to speak, he was mute.
I figured he had a stomach ache, and took him to a doctor. Doc gave him some medicine and he took that. But he kept try to tell me something, and I finally realized he wasn't sick but he was hungry! So first I helped him wash his hand and clothes and took him to a chinese restaurant. He finished 2 dishes in a matter of few minutes. I had to slow him down. After the meal, he gave me a satisfying big smile. I asked him how old he was, and with his fingers he told me he was 33.
Even after almost 20 years, somehow his clear, innocent eyes and his big smile are stuck in my memory.

Hope I didn't bore you Jorj, but you asked for it <g>

PS: I went to Blockbuster but wasn't able to borrow that movie.
