FYI -- I did just that. Here's my letter and the response (I am leaving out the name of the writer, who is a managing editor): ___________ MY E-MAIL: Editors: Regarding the article by Terry Savage on Online Bill Paying: Can you explain why you have an article that describes the burgeoning industry and major players yet leaves out the dominant player. I am sure I do not need to tell you who it is (hint: Checkfree!). Thanks in advance ____________ RESPONSE: Hi, Thanks for your email. Ms. Savage, the author of the column, focused on the 2 new Web sites that are now available to provide electronic bill presentment -- Paytrust and paymybills. You're right; Checkfree is the largest site and there was no attempt to slight them. I've forwarded your comments on to Ms. Savage, but in a phone conversation, she told me that she wanted to focus on the new sites. ____________ I also sent an e-mail to the author. No reply yet.
