Pangea Extends Mineralization At Depth At Tulawaka Project
TORONTO, ONTARIO--

-22.6 grams over true width of 9.0 meters at 100 meters vertical depth-

-Drilling also confirms high-grade talus zone-

Pangea Goldfields Inc announced today that diamond drilling results to date have confirmed the down plunge extension of the East Zone on its Tulawaka project in Tanzania, a 70/30 joint venture with Explorations Minieres du Nord Ltee. Drill hole TDD-6 intersected a quartz vein grading 22.6 g/t gold* over a true width of 9.0 meters. Numerous specks of visible gold were noted in the core. The main vein was intersected at a vertical depth of 100 meters approximately 60 meters down plunge from previous reverse circulation (RC) drill hole TRC-91 which had returned 12.7 g/t gold over 39 meters (20 meters true width).

Systematic RC drilling of talus mineralization on 12.5-metre centers has defined two high-grade mineralized areas. A total of 137 holes outlined a mineralized area of 250 meters by 60 meters with an average grade of 13.18 g/t gold over an average thickness of 3.0 meters.

A second mineralized area 350 by 40 meters was outlined with 77 holes with an average grade of 10.46 g/t gold over an average thickness of 4.18 meters. The mineralization in both areas remains open to the south.

The diamond drilling program is continuing but progress has been slow due to a mechanical breakdown and as a result, a deep RC rig has been contracted and will be utilised with the diamond rig to accelerate the deep drilling program. To date, a total of 949 metres of diamond drilling has been completed in this 2500-metre first-phase program.

Metallurgical testing is currently in progress on three composite samples assembled from RC samples from the talus zone, the main vein oxide zone and the main vein sulphide zone.

Drilling is also underway in Tanzania at the recently acquired 100% owned Imwero project in the Geita camp and at Golden Ridge where joint-venture partner Barrick Gold has contracted four rigs to complete a minimum 10,000-metre diamond drill program. Drilling is also scheduled to commence in October on the Bulyanhulu South and the Kakindu projects, both of which are joint ventured with Ashanti Goldfields.

*Assaying performed by SGS Laboratories in Mwanza Tanzania, using the fire assay technique.
