Matteo, Not a good idea to buy puts on SUNW at this time simply because they have announced a stock split. If busines was not good, i don't believe they would have made such an announcement. Probably better to wait it out a few more months before taking up such a strategy, IMHO. Might just be better to buy puts on the Nasdaq if you think it will decline. I don't expect much of a selloff in the Nas and therefore not much downside in SUNW. They must be on a short term roll---orders are probably pretty good.

Maybe a little before the Windows2k release may be a good time to try the puts (assuming SUNW is at high levels at that time). Whether or not W2K actually slows growth for SUNW does not really matter. It will just be a matter of investor fears.
