I didn't provide that link although I follow it. Chip has charts on the breadth incl. 50-day mov avg breadth and 200-day mov avg breadth.

My understanding was that corrections usually get halted around 48-50% for the percent of stocks above the respective 200-day moving averages. With tax-loss selling season coming, the laggards may have one more last gasp before the earnings reports if that much. So, I think the breadth will continue to deteriorate by mid-October.
