Donald,
I am an AOL investor but.."Perhaps AOL should change the A to mean 'Always'."

I have to tell you I got a chuckle out of this one...the only thing I smiled about AOL all day. AOL...ALWAYS on line? shouldn't it be SOL...sometimes online? Or better yet...with the stock price lately...SOS
Tom

"Among other things he very much
disliked the word 'American' in the AOL acronym. Perhaps AOL should change the
A to mean 'Always'."

A very valid point. I've traveled fairly extensively throughout the world and have found few country's where people in general like America. They all like some Americans, but, not America. Our political leaders have assured our place in the world by sticking their nose in everybody else's business. There is a basic and fundamental resentment toward us in general and everyone watch's and listens to what this country does. Basically, Australia and Canada like America and that's about it.

I didn't even know YHOO was an ISP, I bet most people never knew it either...What AOL has going for it besides the community thing that kids love, is its name...no first time computer buyer asks "Does it come with Yahoo?" But you can sure bet ALOT of people ask if it comes with America Online!
