Dear Charlie:

>>>I am glad you have taken it upon yourself to thwart the designs of the devil<<<

Not me ! God has taken it upon Himself. Without the leading of the Holy Spirit it would be a futile attempt.

Purgatory. First time I've been confronted with that one.

But a few comments none the less. Why would God take care of the big ( supposed ) sins and make us atone for the little sins. i. e. grave vs. venial sins.??

What I sense in you is the universal humanistic desire to atone for our own sins. But small or big it can't be done. Why not be set totally free in Christ. All sins. Past . Present. Future. Big. Little. Commission. Omission.

Dare I lessen or loosen or diminish what happened on the old rugged cross. The eternal sacrifice. Once for all eternity. Never to be repeated. Never to be improved upon.

In Christ.........gregor

RE>>If I were to die tonight I believe I would wind up in Purgatory.<<

This comes from the root word "Purge"

It is a place of invention by the Roman Catholic church ! It is a pretended state where you can suffer enough to "purge" you from your sin... or pay for your own sins through suffering. It is against the "FINISHED WORK " of Jesus Christ.

The Just shall live by <F> Faith
