Don,

<So who is going to be the first on the block to buy a Rambus machine.>

Not I! I'm still on track to upgrade everything early next year. By March or April I figure I'll be able to buy one of those $399 PIII 750Mhz systems with Rambus inside!! (NOT!! <G>). Firewire will be a necessity. Of course then I have to get a camcorder with a Firewire port. ADSL or cable modem. Home network (has anyone tried either the phone jack or power line networking products yet?). A second monitor so I can watch movies from the DVD player while I work (I can't work when it's too quiet, and this is why I need a Rambus-based system -- I hate jerky video <G>). Someone told me about a site that let's you watch streaming movies. Broadcast.com, I think it was. Has anyone tried that either? Gosh, the opportunities for spending money are unlimited!!!

Dave

p.s. Corporations will be the first to go for Rambus-based systems.
