Re: Time for someone from Intel or Rambus to step up.. Yes, Intel sent him new drivers - and a good job that was on the part of somebody at Intel. Did you read his whole article? His conclusion is that Rambus is not significantly better than PCXXX, is too expensive, and that he recommends against anyone buying an 820/Rambus based system. I expect more such reviews, buried under the PR blitz at first, then overwhelming the "emporer's new clothes effect". If your lack of performance leaves you naked, you are still naked, no matter how much advertising you buy. The paragraph you quoted was preceded by words to the effect that Intel would probably spend so much money marketing these products that lots of poorly informed people would buy them because they didn't know any better. That stategy can work ... for a while, the question is, can enough people be fooled, enough of the time? Dan
