Thanks for the response. I was asking because of the comments by newscasters that 60% of the world's chip production is in Taiwan. I have not confirmed if that # is correct but anywhere close is huge. And there was some speculation that the wafers in process may have been seriously damaged and would have to be thrown out.

However since hearing all that, it seems that most of the Taiwan companies are reporting minimal damage to the fabs and their production lines and that the only concern was power. But again most have backup power. Added to what you have said, it does not look like there will be a significant impact from the quake re the world's production of chips.
