One factor that might explain the sudden jump in production is the tremendous nulmber of refracs done this summer. Everyone and their brother has been doing refracs, and most appear to have been highly successfull at increasing production.

Not thrilled with the drop in NG prices but not particularly surprised either. The only good news I see right now is that 2 weeks ago I had my thermostat on A/C and now it is on HEAT. Unfortunately it won't help for last weeks build.

Actually there is also the price of heating oil as of late. NG competes with heating oil to some extent, and heating oil has been on a tear. I believe that will cause customers (mostly industrial) with both capabilities to switch to NG this winter.

I also recall reading last week that Canadian stocks are below normal. I read so many articles that I can't find it now. Can anyone confirm? Canada might be shipping to U.S. to take advantage of high prices. The fact that most of the build is occurring in the Northwest tends to confirm this. I am not stating this is happening, just thinking out loud.
