qdog and Eric L: Now I know what a dumb piece of wood feels like when it is torn up by a buzz saw.

Don't think I will use the phrase "flat out wrong" soon again.

I simply read the link and it bore no relationship to the situation now. I therefore used the unfortunate phrase "flat out wrong" and so I asked for the date of publication since I found none in, near or around the article itself so I could put the story in perspective.

You have done that for me in spades.

Yes I am sensitive to attacks on the Q by Cabi and company. There was an orchestrated campaign led by Ericsson for years to destroy the Q and the successful launch of CDMA. But that is history. Ericsson failed to accomplish that.

As for your views, as I thought I had shown in my several exchanges with you both, you have my respect. You know a hell of a lot more about any of this than I do - particularly the non Q and non CDMA aspects about which I know least and try to learn as much as I can.

Which reminds me qdog, are you willing to say a bit more about what the role of CDMA will be in big wireless fiber pipes and/or other frequencies in the US or will CDMA simply be irrelevant in those situations? Also do you see a WCDMA launch in the US?

Best.
