I don't have enough of a technical understanding (given the limitations of my brain, I never will) of the ADI information.

My reaction today is the same as when the news first came out -- that it helps the GSM folks but that's not the end of the world. I'll explain.

The CDMA story is a very long one. There are going to be major obstacles that will spring up in its path, probably some bigger than the IDA battery, and there will be major success stories. There will be events, both good and bad, that we probably can't imagine today but the big-picture story has already unfolded to the extent that it is a lot less risky than it was a few years ago.

A rhetorical question that might serve as just one example of my outlook about that:

Is there any reason ADI or a slew of companies aren't motivated to come up with a product that similarly enhances CDMA-based phones?
