Interesting post but I have read the forecasts and they are staggering insofaras the exponential growth in this sector.It comes down to survival of the fittest.

BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept 20 (Reuters) - VoiceStream Wireless Corp. (NASDAQ: VSTR), a provider of wireless communications systems, said on Monday it had agreed to buy Aerial Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: AERL), a digital cellular phone firm majority-owned by Telephone & Data Systems Inc. (AMEX: TDS), in a deal worth $1.8 billion.

Nokia a "threat" to Phone.com?? Not sure how you see that. Nokia uses the WAP standard.

When in Europe recently (where all the telcoms are talking about WAP) I picked up on a conversation that there were 3 major competetive players in WAP server space. Phone.com and Nokia were mentioned but I missed the 3rd. Not HP since reselling Nokia. Can you advise who the 3rd is?
