BoE sells 25 tonnes of gold at 255.75 usd per ounce

nasdaq.co.uk

PS This much dreaded auction appears to have come off as a non-event. When expectations are for the worst and it never materializes, watch out above. POG now up over $2.

<<Anybody catch the news of North Carolina pig farms under water with all the pig waste flowing into the
flood waters and causing all kinds of problems. >>

I caught that, & said yesterday(or was it day before?) watch out for the pork prices. Somewhere on the TV news I heard the quote "Perhaps thousands of dead bloated pigs floating in every body of water", gag.

You will note I also posted a story that here in Colorado hog farms were being closed down on air quality concerns. I'm shocked it has only hit the live hogs so far, & not the
bellies. As hogs(at this time of year hog weights are more toward full than starting weights)lost at this are near full sized, the effects of all feed used on their weight gains is also lost. As they rush to push feed onto existing swine to increase weights to make up for the missing numbers, it will drive higher corn & bean prices also.
