Yes, the biggest problem was the FCC (and in particular one -silent C- Hundt).

The 2000 in IMT-2000 also stands for the new spectrum allocation (again an FCC problem).

TDMA and GSM converge at EDGE.

Bluetooth aint out yet commercially (thanks to Intel!) and it isn't set for 4Mbps but something in the region of 760 kbps (correct me here).

Data Communications (the magazine) is set to die in the next month.

Otherwise, a very accurate reflection (but that is just IMHO).
