Suntzu, one thing that might also interest you is that you can get eSignal paid for by eDreyfus. Each month that you do five trades ($15 per trade) eDrefus will put $75 in your eSignal account. That more than pays for the eSignal service. Jeff told me about eDreyfus and after I researched them I opened a margin account. My funds have just cleared and I have not traded with eDreyfus yet so I can't tell you first hand how good they are. But I did see a published study that shows Brown and Co as fastest online executions and eDreyfus as 2nd fastest.
