Voltaire, dont be shining my ass now foreign economies take a back seat to be sure currency traders resemble vultures circling fallen and weakened animals the Japanese NEED for their currency to weaken... many perceive the United States NEEDing to have its currency weaker... in past years the strong $$$ has hurt exporters some, and not anywhere as much as people expected another missing item in the equilibrium equation: Robert Rubin aint in Treasury no more expect more currency swing turbulence and volatility Rubin actually made serious serious profits in currency trading for Dept of Treasury!!! old habits die hard I am continually amazed that central banks throw away billions in vain attempts to stabilize... this month alone I read BankofJapan blew approx $5B... oops... they do that periodically a Harvard Professor sits in that seat now, scary / Jim @Puff.Gone.Daddy

A good friend of mine worked for some high fliers for 6 months about a year ago. She was not allowed to tell me many specifics then or now, but she did tell me that if she were able to act on the faxes that she saw coming in, she would have become quite wealthy. Moreoever, they bought land in Indonesia, orchestrated widespread fires, caused the economy to plummet, and did this all without any remorse, simply to make $. This might be hard for anybody on this thread to believe, but I know her well, she's never said anything like this before or after. So I think what you're saying is very interesting--and your market predictions on any given morning support your intimate knowledge of the market Jill
