Evolution, survival of the fittest; look out for No 1.
.....
Because it is absolutely irrational to " die for your brother ".
It is philosophically unacceptable.

This is a complete misunderstanding of Natural Selection. Any characteristic which promotes survival will be selected for. If some creature evolves to have offspring which sometimes sacrifice themselves so that others may survive, well the characteristic will promote the survival of more offspring. Sometimes other creatures can get a free ride. A cat and a dog may become buddies not because they share offspring, but because they share the same trait of being protective of the other little critters they were raised with. The trait aids both cat creatures and dog creatures separately, but does not harm them if they apply the trait to creatures only distantly related.

This is why we have seen the pathetic failure ...
It's a stretch to try to blame Darwin for policies put into place by others of the Judeo/Christain persuasion. How many polititians can you name that are either other religions or athiest? How much of the current run of troubles is just a sign of a much larger population with more good people as well as bad people. When was the golden era when all was love & peace (1968 maybe?).

>>The concept of love, forgiveness , repentance are hard to swallow out of the blue. So God started slowly.<<

i can se the difficulty in training a tribe of savages to love thier neighbor.

"Harm none, and Do as ye will shall be the whole of the law" - more than one religion has seen the benifit of peace...

>>This is why we have seen the pathetic failure of
social engineering a hall mark of the
20 th century welfare state in Europe, Communism,
Socialism, The USA's own Democratic
party.
Their motto has been:
" thou shalt be good because we say so ".
-Pay astronomical taxes to help thy neighbor; even take
your property. etc. etc.
-Be nice to your fellow man/woman<<

do not let off the republicans in this.
we do not have a two party system, but only 2 parties are currently recieving funds to "spread thier cause"
most politicians are in fact statists.
(ie the state is supreme)

>>Results:
Kids killing kids.
Spouses abandoning each other and their kids.
("The hell with them").
In rapid development, refusal to pay higher taxes to help the elderly:Hospital care rapidly crumbling.<<

health care? well, we asked the government for "universal health care", and after it's help, we all recieve the same... Sh*tty health care...

refusal to pay higher taxes? Darn tootin'. they are currently using 5 months of my yearly paycheck to run the countrty, from city to state to federal levels.

kids killing kids <- after we let the Government determine what they shall read, what they shall eat in school, etc?
no wonder...

Please spare us! Evolution may say that we are one step above Koko the gorilla as opposed to one step below angels but it does not reject morality. Evolution actually supports conventional morality to a surprising extent. Furthermore, I completely reject the idea of a degredation of morality and a rejection of the Judeo-Christian ethic. Today 50% of people claim to go to church. In colonial New England the percentage of religeous devotion was about 20% (incidentally, that was the rate of unwed pergnancy.) There simply has not been a moral decline in the world. And even if there was, don't blame it on evolution's "look out for number one" because evolution doesn't support that.
