Ya, they kept showing me a compass and pointing at some oak trees and saying "23 degrees no good." The guy dragged the jumper cables out and ask for a jump. The whole scene could be used for a movie. If I had not been there, I would not have believed it. For some strange reason, he also asked if I was European or American. I should have responded North American.

It's almost as funny as the local cable company wanting to cut a slot down the middle of my asphalt driveway and leaving it for me to repair. All for the low price of $1,100 not including driveway repair at my expense. Their story is it is too difficult to lay the wire through the tree roots.

Moral of the story is "Don't live in the woods." I don't know why the electric and telephone company are so nice to me. Thank goodness the same people don't run the utilities.
