C-Cube is like the A-Bomb Read on

I have talked to many engineers at C-Cube and MPEG II encoding is more complicated than many think. After 6 months of research I am finally putting it together and the story is much like the A-bomb.

On the Compression side MPEG II takes about 8-14 C-Cube Vido Risc Processors. Big Bucks and Lots of Calculations. I have heard that it takes 40 different calculations per pixel. Every frame, Huge Math.

MPEG II Real time Compression Takes 2 things.

It is like a A-Bomb you need

1. The Smarts to do it ! (Oppinhimer)

2. The Enriched Uranium (the raw material to make the Smarts Perform.)

MPEG II Encoding is the same huge task.

1. The Smarts (C-Cube's Alex Balkanski,Ph.D degrees in economics from Harvard and Les Kohn Lead developer of the Sun Spark. Just like we stole Opinhimer from Germany)

2. You need the Uranium ie. the Pure Processing Speed. Which C-Cube has put together them selves as the Video - Risc. Slow, Primitive but this was a proto-type. The Fat Boy
But Very effective. It has put the other players on their buts.

As I see it right now. The other Countries. IBM, TI, AT&T etc. Are terrified.. We are entering the Nuclear age or the Compressed Video Age. And they are way behind! They don't even have a primitive A-Bomb. They are trying. to make a Fat Boy.

In fact if you think about it the Highly enriched Uranium 232 (Processing Speed) is very scarce. IBM's Power PC probably can't do it. Intel's Pentium Probably can't do it. TI I don't think has a Risc Chip that can do it. The only Countries that have the Uranium 232 to the best of my intelligence are:

1. Sun Microsystems.
2. Silicon Graphics
3. H.P. (? ) although they use C-cube Technology

Think of the political ramifications if a Country Like IBM asked Sun to use their Uranium. (Sparc) Or If Intel asked SGI to use the MIPS Chip?

Let me tell you C-Cube has had the Fat boy for over a year! They have made the second generation, the Little Man. And now that C-Cube has access to the Sparc Processor they will have the
an H-Bomb before IBM, TI or any one else has and A-Bomb.

What is an MPEG II H bomb?

It is a single Chip MPEG II real time compressor. 14 times as powerful as a Video -Risc Processor. (It does what 14 Video Risc Processors do in 1) The uses are going to change the world. It can be put into a High end Video Camera and you are on the way to a new revolution!

I think C-Cube's Video H-Bomb is completed and they are testing it right now out in a desolate Military Base out in Nevada. There is no need to release its awsome powers yet. The Competition has not entered the Nuclear age yet.

We haven't even talked about delivery yet. To deliver they A-Bomb the US Created Striped down a B-29 Ripped out every thing so it could carry the weight. Not easy.

THAT'S IT, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT, I THINK ITS A PRETTY NEAT ANALOGY.
KAAABOOOOOOOMMMMMMM)))((((( (big mushroom cloud)
