A brief excerpt from today's Daily Rap, from TechBear Bill Fleckenstein, FWIW: << should point out I am not short Apple stock. The reason I have an interest is that it's illuminating as to what's going on in the retail channel. As I have reiterated often, I think nuclear winter is coming for corporate America. We've had lots of pieces of corroborating evidence. This would be further proof that the retail channel also isn't doing well, and would further undermine the bullish case for PCs and certain component stocks, many of which I am short. So I think Apple is an important piece of news. On the other hand, Oracle was a disaster and nobody seemed to care. So there are a lot of brave faces being shown around. Also in tech land, Western Digital, a company that no one's been paying attention to recently, announced a disastrous drop in revenues. I'll talk more about that tomorrow.>>
