Well, according to DataCom LU and CSCO had inventory issues. Perhaps JNPR had stock of M-40's. and CSCO and LU didn't.

Regardless of the above...as a market leader you make a tactical decision to not send units into a test unless you're 100% - that 100%!!! - sure you're going to beat the competition in every area. Why give your competition (with less than 10% market share) any legs at all? There's no benefit to participate for CSCO or LU - none at all! And DataCom is upset..their feelings are hurt cuz thier little study is now meaningless. They could have said - "oh, no takers on the study, we'll postpone". Instead they chose to bash on LU and CSCO and others buy runing a one product study then publishing an article to display their irritation. Childish, pathetic, and whiny.

Like I said on the LU thread. I've cancelled my subscription and I wrote a letter to the editor.

I guess you'd have to ask the companies. DataCom did not mention these as being issues - only that inventory was a problem.
