Reincarnation vis a vis transmigration -- I am wondering if life after death, which is the reward for accepting Christ in Christian theology, is not in fact a semantic subset reincarnation.

Transmigration on the other hand, although a subset of reincarnation as well, may be the reward / punishment for karmic accumulation and is of course non-Christian. Bad Karma resulting in punishment in subsequent lives and Nervana the ultimate reward. Is the argument one of semantics rather than content?
