I apologize...I meant to indicate that the 10% figure was announced on MSNBC as a special update on the Taiwan semis just as I was doing the post. They are saying now that most of the 10% loss will not come from the earthquake itself but rather from the down time that will be needed to recalibrate their equipment....estimates are from 2 weeks to a month (I believe they quoted the same time period in the article as well).

Keep in mind this news is still pretty preliminary.
