I'm noticing something which reinforces the position put forth by the article I cited earlier. While S&P futures dropped to the lows of the day (-32) and the indices are looking ugly, the stocks which are really beaten up are not getting hit too bad. Prime example AOL. Maybe the correction we are all looking for will be primarily focused on the same stocks that are making the indices look great heretofore. And while the indices are getting crushed, TICK is not nearly as negative as we've seen recently on mildly down days. Maybe the broader market has already been in a bear market and the indices are just playing catch up.

J.T.:

New Lows are overpowering New Highs by a 7:1 ratio:
finance.yahoo.com

The Dow is getting close to its 10,400 to 10,500 support level... This time I think we get an intraday breach soon...

After the FED takes back its final 1/4 point on Oct 5th the market should start moving up for a test of the old highs... But, until then, duck... : >

JT, you are OJ in reverse -gg-

The market would have to reverse like this after i sold my uspix last thursday, now it's back at that price today -g-

this last rally was a real fakeout, remember the meat grinder market - ooh yah

iqc.com

dow found support at the bottom trendline and danced around and fell thru it and bounced back up on it and turned it into resistance, for the bear case and not a fakeout here need some follow thru selling tomorrow.

The Dow jones utilities took out that two year chicken chart trendline that i posted yesterday and also the aug low.

quite a nice set-up for a kahuna -g- i'm not short -g-
