His position on the PMs has been so agressively bearish that one has to assume on face value that he is short -

As compared to aggressively "bullish" taunts being thrown at him by so many gold bugs??

I pretty much assumed by his negative analysis on gold that he was short. Why would that come as a surprise to you?

The only thing I find surprising is that he lost money with his positions in the PM markets. How do you figure he did that??

However, I must admit I never realized that he was "running" so much money, whether it be his own, or someone else's. Knowledge of that fact would have permitted his audience to infer that he had a vested interest in making the comments he did.

But by no means does that impugn his overall macro-economic analysis of Asia and Europe.
