Company Happenings: After Tuedsay's markets
closed, networking equipment maker 3Com Corp.
(COMS) reported first-quarter pro forma
earnings of 33 cents a share, blowing past
expectations of 24 cents. Revenue slipped 1
percent to $1.39 billion.

The company said sales of its network systems
products rose 9 percent from a year ago to
$674.2 million. The division includes switches,
hubs and routers. Its Palm Computing unit,
which makes the popular Palm Pilot handheld
computers, saw its revenue rise 50 percent to
$174.2 million. 3Com shares rose more than 8
percent in after-hours trading Tuesday evening,
indicating a rise at Wednesday's open.

Damn, I got out BVSN position too early (it is at 137 now).
Only hope is for my CMGI to catch up the fire.
