royalties on sales

dave,
until now, the bulk of rmbs royalties for the past five years have come from nintendo 64 sales. nintendo uses 4mb of rdram.
that has just changed.
in order to sell rambus computers next monday, all of the oems are now moving rdrams from the mfr storage bins to the assembly lines. it is this event, not retail sales, that triggers royalty payments due the following quarter. this means for the very first time rambus
is now earning royalties
from the sale of rdram in computers.

the rambus ramp-up is underway!!!

i am drinking champagne to salute rambus as i type this.

SDRAM Prices

Just contacted my local Ram supplier and for ref. his prices are as cheap as most mail order houses.

Presently their 128 MB sdram PC 100 is selling for $249.00

A few days ago it was $289.00 due to earlier problems in Taiwan, not earthquake related. He said the price for this ram was as low as $89.00 earlier in the year.
