The quote server, went down at about 10:30 PST today, but most users were switched to a live alternate server without any ill effects. Users of Netscape or IE version 3.x browsers would have noticed problems at this point and not been switched.

Except for some slowing down of refreshes, I had no apparent loss of stockwatch today in Ontario. I run stockwatch on separate windows and have more than one ticker running using IE5. I'm not constantly watching it though. I don't have a multi-monitor set up so I can't watch stockwatch every second.

Gerry,
There have been several occassions recently where my tickers have gone down, including today. Unfortunately, it always seems to take me 20 minutes or so before I realize that things aren't updating (call me slow but unless things are updating quickly they only get a small %age of my attention)... and today it actually may have made a difference in my trading. Just as I was about to close them down and restart them, they began updating again. I'm running IE5 and don't know if the switch to alternate servers took the 20-25 minutes or whether I'm just one of the ones who didn't get switched. In the past, shutting down the applets and restarting them has solved the problem.

Gerry ... over the course of the day, about half a dozen of my live MD's just become disconnected for no particular reason. Usually about 20 minutes after it happens I notice that the MD and graph have diverged (the graph keeps updating fine). I close the MD and start it up again and then it works fine again.

It becomes pretty annoying after the 5th or 6th time!!! Do others have this problem or is it just me?? Is there a solution??
