Whose being disingenuous now? You find nothing offensive in seeing a post which equates opposition to abortion as "forcing your religious views down the throats" of others? Personally, I found it offensive, ignorant and bigoted (which I stated) for several reasons. First, my opposition is not founded on religious belief and I also find the negative connotation that something founded on a religious belief seems to imply among the "beautiful people" most offensive and bigoted. Equating the opposition with religion or mysticism or whatever the derogation du jour is a way of devaluing and denigrating the argument and the proponent of the argument without dealing with the merits of the argument. Second, as you say, if such views are "imposed" democratically via duly enacted legislation that isn't forcing ones views down another's throat, its called democracy. IMO, the original post I responded to was offensive and bigoted and typically liberal in that it was all about "feelings" and little to do with facts. I call'em as I see'em. JLA
