Dan3,(VC)SDRAM is still just a version of SDRAM...none of RAMBUS's headroom with it. The article you quoted even stated that "higher processor speeds and applications require the performance that RDRAM can provide." "in a year, Intel processors will be running faster than a gigahertz and the 820 chip set will be required," says Martin Reynolds, a Dataquest analyst. Business purchasers won't want to buy technology guaranteed to be out of date in a year. Read your own article. Ride the wave of the future my man as Stuart says. You arguments are like those of the people who maligned the importance of the television(like RAMBUS) because radio(like SDRAMs and variations of SDRAMs) was so big at the time and there were so few television programs available to utilize the television.....BIG MISTAKE!
