What is FUNNY, is a smart person reads the news differently than what is being said.

Apple....Moto processor shortage....not good to have a sole source.
Taiwan....Too much capacity there without backup fabs incase those go down.

I remember the days when HWP and IBM had fabs so they didn't have to rely on MOTO and Intel..... The quake and Apple troubles almost seem like good news to semi cap equipment companies if you look long term.

Good trade if you cover in time. I still give 75% of it to luck as the quake was not in the cards! 8)

Justa,

I spent the day in the air, so didn't pay much attention to anything that happened.

Thankfully!!! ;-)

You certainly seem to have firm convictions about this trade.

From my perspective, the upside risk still exceeds the downside and will continue to do so for more than a year. I just don't believe in shorting good companies with outstanding prospects. The fact that I might think a stock overpriced doesn't make it so.

Hope you continue to be successful; or at least not too badly hurt while you scalp a $ or 2 on the short side.

Ian.
